Rope wire is manufactured from mainly three types of steel wires:

For marine, chemical, and outdoor applications. - Galfan Wire (Al-Zn Alloy Coated Wire)
For long-term durability in harsh environments. - Galvanized Steel Wire
Economical general purpose wire ropes hot-dip galvanized.

Rope wire is commonly supplied in large coils, wrapped and strapped for easy handling and feeding into stranding machines.
